Revelation Studio - Original Painting and Christian Art Print of the “The Lord Cries Out To The City” Micah 6:9a | |||
This Original Christian Art Print by B-Farrell Beckner of The Lord Cries Out To The Citycomes with the artists unique story about the painting and an inspirational thoughtand scripture. Some pieces take a short time to complete and others, well, don't. As a baby christian in I drew Christ on a cross facing a NYC skyline and the Brooklyn Bridge. It was filed away until the Lord needed it. A young and dynamic pastor visited my
church in Palm Coast, FL and he had a church in Yonkers, New York. I had only a few months earlier opened Revelation Studio and wanting to bless him, I asked if I could do a painting for his new church. A couple of days before I stumbled across that old drawing and had moved it to the top of a resource box. So when I asked the pastor what he'd like me to do for him, he looked around and saw the picture I had drawn 8 years before!
So, we had the concept, but for months I couldn't get started. Slowly I found the time and made a large stretcher and then stretched the canvas. In the mean time, the Holy Spirit provided other images - a contemporary skyline and Jerusalem rising from the morning fog. I gradually worked through the process. In short, most of the creative decisions were made from above as were many of the brush strokes. During the process though the pastor fell from his pulpit and sadly out of the ministry. City was finished in about May of 2001, but now it had nowhere to go. A few months later, after 9/11, Gloria said that the picture had a much deeper meaning now. She is, of course, right. When we moved to Orlando, it hung in our dinning room - until now. The Bible says that one man sews and another man reaps. And so it is so with City. The piece is now hanging in the santuary of New Destiny Christian Center, south in Kissimmee, FL pastored by Micheal & Samantha Philips just outside the gates of the historic district of town! |
